The Aran Islands
The islands of Inishmore, Inishmaan and Inisheer make up the Aran Islands, and their rugged, natural beauty, thatched roof cottages dotting the islands, provide a splendid example of Celtic and early Christian heritage and gives one the impression that they have just traveled back in time. There are passanger ferries running from Doolin pier to the islands each day. Doolin pier is 1 km from Suantrai House.

Doolin Cave
Doolin Cave is one of Europe’s most compelling cave attractions. It is a truly authentic experience. ‘The Great Stalactite’ It is your only opportunity to see such a large free hanging stalactite anywhere in the world.

The creation of the Ailwee Caves began millions of years' ago, when this stunning creation of nature was formed by the melt waters of a prehistoric ice age. The cave, carved out of limestone, cuts into the heart of the mountain.
